Supreme Ventures/GTech toast First 10 years
Gaming giant, Supreme Ventures is this year celebrating its 10th anniversary. As part of the milestone, the company along with its technology provider and partner, GTech, threw a grand anniversary event at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Monday. Hosted by chairman of Supreme Ventures, Paul Hoo, President Brian George, the Chairman of GTech, Don Sweitzer, and his managing director, Ann-Dawn Young-Sang, the cocktail event boasted all the elements of the premiere do it was intended to be.
From Ann Marie Weiss' superb decor to the amazing fare by the hotel, East Japanese Restaurant and Chocolate Dreams, the anniversary party was flawless. Upon arrival, guests were pleasantly greeted by hostesses in green and blue and accompanied into the ballroom. Walking into the ballroom felt like moving from one world into another, as it had been transformed into a kaleidoscope of colours. An imposing bar in the centre of the room, decorated in vivid fabric and dazzling lottery balls as well as 'numbered' candle holders, all fit nicely into the lottery theme.
The food stations provided lavish hot and cold dishes including shrimp, smoked salmon, skewers with feta cheese and cherry tomatoes, sushi and sashimi, roasted loin of lamb, sugar-baked ham, sautéed chicken, Yorkshire pudding and boneless jerked pork and more.
Brief formalities saw remarks from the hosts, expertly directed by emcee Michael Anthony Cuffe. Most notably were the closing remarks made by Paul Hoo, who spoke about the indelible role of the late Chairman Peter Stewart and his significant and lasting impact on the company at its inception, and also the unwavering support the team members and agencies had shown over the 10 years.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by musicians Jon Williams and Paulette Bellamy.
Among the guests present were: Opposition spokesman on Finance, Dr Peter Philips, Mickael Philips, former prime minister P.J. Patterson, Opposition spokesman of Transport, Dr Omar Davies, Saleem Lazarus, Deika Morrison, Supreme Ventures director Ian Levy and wife Cecelia Levy, Janette Stewart, and businesswoman, Thalia Lyn, Walter and Keisha Scott, RBTT's Minna Israel, Cedric and May Evans, businesswoman Diana Stewart, Becky Stockhausen and many others.
