It was dubbed a 20th anniversary splash with good reason. Event planner-decorator Ingrid Peralto's kaleidoscope of colours were splashed around the grounds, poolside and ballroom at the Caymanas Golf & Country Club like a beautiful rainbow gone happily awry. From multicoloured balloons suspended from the clubhouse ceiling to yards of fabric draped everywhere.

It was the perfect way to represent a company that purveys paints. And the staff and their guests who came to celebrate the customers' and employees' awards night were equally sparkling in their attire and personalities.

Upon arrival, guests received clear parking directions and shuttle service to the Clubhouse. Here, the Kingston Drummers accompanied EdgeChem's lady boss Doreen Frankson and her management team in the red-carpet welcome of everyone.

But Saturday, March 19 will long be remembered by the EdgeChem family, particularly those who had been with the Doreen Frankson-founded company from day one: Grace-Ann Jackson, Donovan Stewart and Michael Ennis. Master of ceremonies Fae Ellington hit the high note with her energetic and record execution of the programme of activities and never wavered from start to finish. So much so that even after the presentations were over, many guests were just arriving.

Highlight of the night was a product relaunch done by former Prime Minister P. J. Patterson and the cake-cutting exercise by all the board members. But that was just a fraction of the night's offerings; there was a lavish feast of local and international dishes, libations to last all night and entertainment by Jamvybz All-Star Band, D.J. Bambino and Richie Stephens. A wonderful time was had by all.
