Miami operated SeaFreight Line announced that it will begin a new weekly fixed-day service calling on Costa Rica and Nicaragua via Puerto Limon in December. The new service was scheduled to commence from Jacksonville, Florida, and Port Everglades.

The first northbound sailing from Puerto Limon will be Tuesday, December 14. The six-day transit will be the fastest all-water service between Puerto Limon and Jacksonville, a major gateway for the South Atlantic United States. Additionally, the carrier will offer the fastest transit times from Puerto Limon to 16 ports in the Caribbean area via its hub in Kingston, opening up new markets for Costa Rica and Nicaraguan trade with the region.

The carrier has partnered with Grupo Tical in both Costa Rica and Nicaragua to have dedicated teams of industry specialists to serve the respective trades.

SeaFreight Line has been providing ocean transportation services for 18 years and currently operates 6 x 1,100 TEU and 2 x 500 TEU vessels between Florida, the Caribbean, South America and Central American.

In addition to the two new markets, the carrier already offers weekly fixed-day service between Jacksonville and Port Everglades and Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Curaçao, Grand Cayman, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Kingston, Montego Bay, La Guaira, Margarita (El Guamache), Panama, St Lucia, St Vincent, Suriname and Trinidad. The carrier offers various sizes of dry and refrigerated containers as well as break bulk acceptance on cargo such as boats, vehicles, machinery, among others, on flat racks.
