Union in paradise

The rains that fell intermittently during the seaside nuptials of Adrienne and Brett Johnson on Saturday, October 9 could be regarded as showers of blessings. They did not stop the party! The showers, instead, created a more cosy atmosphere in which the Stoltz and Johnson families and just over 220 of their friends and relatives converged on the picturesque Tryall Club in Hanover.

Both ceremony and reception were staged on the beach of the magnificent property that has become a haven for the world's rich and powerful as well as guests wishing to simply get away from prying eyes. And faced with the prospect of a wet evening, wedding planner Collete Collins and her team made all the necessary contingencies to ensure guests' comfort. These included large white umbrellas and adequate ground cover to spare the heels and hemlines.

Live music

The bride wore a lace halter gown by Monique Lhuiller Bishop. Terrence Neil Gordon officiated a poignant ceremony punctuated with poetry and readings from The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran. Live music was provided for the ceremony and Wendy Schnur's rendition of The Lord's Prayer was touching. During the reception, steel pan music filled the air as guests feasted on a wide selection of finger foods and copious libations from the bars.

Sacha Hossmann and the team from Tai Flora used the sand and lavender theme for the altar overlooking the beach and in the giant-size tent where the reception took place.

Executive Chef Kai Bechinger worked his magic on a lavish wedding feast spread over four convenient stations.
