WESTERN BUREAU: Designed with lovers in mind, Half Moon opened its doors last weekend for travel writers, wedding planners, travel agents and journalists to experience its 'Romance' showcase.

The only thing missing from the weekend of love was a bride and groom at an actual wedding, but all other aspects - the 400 sun-kissed acres, two miles of private beach, luxurious suites and secluded gardens - were included.

From Thursday evening to Sunday morning, 'Miss Half Moon' herself, Myrtle Dwyer, and her team of master wedding planners wined and dined those who wanted to get married, were about to get married, were already married or probably who had never tied the knot.

With an itinerary packed with endless possibilities, the Outlook team was among a storied list of visitors who had the privilege to be counted among the resort's valued guests.

It was all about learning the secrets of how this Jamaican hotel has been able to execute some of the most amazing weddings and romantic events.

By Sunday morning, those who stayed the weekend were convinced they had been accommodated in the lap of luxury at this stately Caribbean oasis.

Outlook brings you highlights of the farewell dinner at the hotel's Oleander Terrace on Saturday, September 4.
