Matrimonial memories in Central Park

On June 18, Nikeba Mathie and Jason Dawkins were joined in matrimony under the watchful eyes of about 50 guests, including close family and friends. Elegantly styled in a strapless mermaid gown with pleat detail and a stylish bridal hat, Nikeba was picture perfect as she stepped to meet her handsome groom whose eyes were fixed on her, reminiscent of the first time he saw her.
At the ceremony held in Central Park, New York, inside the Ladies Pavillion Gazebo, the setting was intimate, boasting a lake and the park's greenery.
Utilising the natural beauty at the park, photographic memories were recorded following the ceremony. Several areas were used, including the bridge with the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop.
Most of the pictures were, however, taken in New York's famed Times Square, which was in line with the theme of the wedding, 'Manhattan Chic/Sex and the City Style'.
With both pedestrian and vehicular traffic at its peak on the Friday afternoon, that was the perfect setting for the most beautiful and unusual pictures taken. Random passers-by requested snapshots with them, while the honking horns of passing motorists indicated approval. Congratulations was the word most uttered to the couple by many onlookers.
Love is still alive
While enjoying their moment, the newly-weds were approached by a film director working on a documentary nearby, he asked them to recreate the picture of the sailor and a nurse sharing a kiss as it was captured years ago after World War II at the very same spot. Of course, they obliged, and when asked for their opinion on whether love was still alive, the answer was most definitely, "yes"!
For the two, the day could not have gone any better. And still enjoying their honeymoon, they plan to celebrate their first anniversary with a larger representation of family and friends in the land of their birth, Jamaica.
