Tip of the Week - Bleach
When buying bleach, it is important to know what your specific needs are. For water treatment you should always use liquid bleach that contains at least 5.25 per cent sodium hypochlorite.
Here are some useful tips for Sno White Bleach:
1. To kill mosquitoes, add 1/4 teaspoon of bleach to each quart of water used in your vase to kill the larvae.
2. To kill germs on your cutting broad, combine three tablespoons of bleach with one gallon of water. Pour mixture over cutting board and let it soak for two minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Do not soak overnight.
3. Whiten tiles or grout with 50/50 Sno White Bleach to water solution. Spray mixture over the tiles and let sit for 15 minutes. Scrub and rinse well. Use the solution in a well-ventilated area.
4. To clean calcium deposits from fish tanks, mix one full cap of bleach in a gallon of water and use to clean aquarium. Rinse thoroughly at least three times before returning fish to the tank.
