Greaves out of second ODI

GUWAHATI, India (CMC):

West Indies all-rounder Justin Greaves will miss Wednesday’s second One-Day International against India because of a calf injury.

Greaves scored his maiden ODI century in the opening match on Sunday, but the West Indies suffered an eight-wicket defeat to the hosts.

However, the 32-year-old Barbadian appeared hampered during his innings of 101 from 108 balls and did not take the field during India’s run chase.

A statement from Cricket West Indies on Tuesday confirmed that Greaves would be unavailable for the match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium.

“Justin Greaves has been ruled out of the second game of the ODI series against India after sustaining a calf injury.

“Greaves picked up the injury during his innings in the opening match of the series,” the statement read.
