The David ‘Wagga’ Hunt Foundation (DWHF) presented cheques totalling US$10,000.00 to Munro College and Cornwall College.

Both schools suffered major damage during the passage of Hurricane Melissa last year. The presentations were made by DWHF committee members Leighton ‘Fyah’ McKnight and Garth Pottinger to principals Dr Mark Smith and Michael Ellis of Munro College and Cornwall College, respectively.

Both institutions expressed their gratitude for the gesture made by the foundation and promised to plough the funds directly into the renovation of their plants. The presentations were done at the Munro College in St Elizabeth.

The DWHF is a non-profit organisation that provides scholarship to 24 students from both Calabar High School and Kingston College (KC) yearly.

The foundation was started in 2009 to honour the legacy of David Hunt, a prominent KC past student who coached rivals Calabar to victory in the Manning Cup and Olivier Shield in 2005.
