Wolmer’s Boys recorded their sixth win of the season with a comfortable 3-0 victory over hosts Ascot High in their ISSA/WATA Manning Cup Zone E match yesterday.

The victory lifted the Jerome Waite-coached team to 18 points. Former champions Mona High defeated Calabar 2-1 and lead the zone with maximum 30 points. Calabar are second with 24 points. Wolmer’s, Mona, and Calabar are all through to the quarterfinals of the competition.

Meanwhile in Zone C, Camperdown High recorded a big 4-1 win over Vauxhall High in their encounter at the Alpha Boys’ Home while the other game in the group between hosts Jamaica College and St Andrew Technical High School was rained out. The victory moved Camperdown to 15 points, eight behind the zone’s joint leaders JC and St Andrew Technical, who are already through to the quarterfinals of the competition along with Vauxhall.
