IAN SPENCE literally applauded, not reminded, United States-bred RIDEALLDAY with two taps of the whip after collaring MONEY MARKET a half-furlong out for a fifth straight win, the grey colt’s sixth from seven starts, dismissing open-allowance runners at five and a half furlongs.

After galloping five and a half furlongs in 1:06.4 last Sunday morning, the writing was already on the wall for whomever appeared on Tuesday’s overnight to face Philip Feanny’s American, who went a second faster, 1:05.4, franking his blistering form and eye-catching exercise gallop.

MONEY MARKET tried making a race of it at odds of 10-1, pushed out of the gate by Dane Dawkins to set opening-quarter splits of 23.2.

However, UNBELIEVABLE FORCE, one of three Feanny runners in the five-horse field, ensured an honest pace for stablemate RIDEALLDAY, who stalked from fourth.

Switched to mid-track coming off the turn, RIDEALLDAY responded to Ian Spence’s hand ride, surging forward to leap at MONEY MARKET, joining the five-year-old local-bred a half-furlong out. Spence applying the whip was a “well-done” gesture to the Vekoma-Song of Hours colt, who he has now partnered to four victories.

Among the second crop of United States-bred horses purchased by Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited to improve the quality and quantity of runners in the top classes at Caymanas Park, RIDEALLDAY has, so far, proven the best of the lot racing in the silks of the promoting company’s chairman, Solomon Sharpe.

RIDEALLDAY’s next assignment could be the October 4 Gold Cup, a seven-furlong grade-one event named for Feanny, a win-and-you’re-in for December’s US$300,000 Gold Cup.

Should RIDEALLDAY face the starter for the Gold Cup, he would face the starter as a lightweight against seasoned grade-one runners for his debut at the level, giving him a grand chance at the handicaps, more so if Feanny summons a claiming rider to shed even more weight.

RIDEALLDAY handed Feanny a second winner on the 10-race card following FIRECRACKER’s romp in the third event at six furlongs, taking apart four-year-olds, non-winners of four races, with claiming rider Tyrese Anderson.

Leading and champion jockey Raddesh Roman shared the day’s spoils with claiming rider Demar Williams, who won the seventh and 10th aboard MISS BRAETON and PERFECT BREW, respectively.

Roman landed the fourth and ninth astride UNRULY DON and Canadian SASH ON, respectively, virtually making all aboard both mounts.

Racing continues at the weekend with a Saturday-Sunday meet to close September.
