DRAWN favourably at stall seven in a field of nine as the quickest on the faster stands’ side for Saturday’s closing event, SHE’S A GODGIFT should score the hat-trick even if blindfolded.

Lining up against local-breds, non-winners of four races, and fellow Americans hunting a third win, the Wildcat Red-Ghostly Direction filly returns to the scene of the crime, five furlongs straight, where she had won on her February 3 debut.

Running as the 3-5 favourite on debut, SHE’S A GODGIFT made light work of local-bred winner COMEHOMETOME, clocking 59.4 with 121lb.

Facing tougher company on March 9, SHE’S A GODGIFT was quickly tackled by MONEY MARKET after breaking on top from an inside draw at stall two. Headed off by MONEY MARKET leaving the half-mile marker, SHE’S A GODGIFT afterwards showed why she is headed for the top classes.

Though hemmed in along the rail when HUNTSMAN knifed through rivals to make it three-in-a-line swinging into the lane, SHE’S A GODGIFT quickened off the turn in heavier ground to put daylight between herself and the dual challenge.

Sprinting away under Tevin Foster, SHE’S A GODGIFT clocked 1:07.3 with her rider taking unnecessary glances in his rearview mirror for non-existent danger.

SHE’S A GODGIFT won like an out-of-class horse at five and a half furlongs, dismissing KEM and HUNTSMAN in registering two wins from as many starts, signalling she is another American to follow until she finds equal company at a higher level.
