Jamaica's Ackeem Blake held off a late surge from Cameroon's Emanuel Eseme to win his semi-final in the men's 60 metres at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, today.

Blake was early out the blocks and took the lead at the start, but Eseme closed quickly, as Blake held on at the line to win in 6.51 seconds, with Eseme doing 6.52 to be the second automatic qualifier from heat two of the semis.

The other two semi-finals were won by United States of America's athletes, Christian Coleman and Noah Lyles.
