Wayne Pinnock successfully defended his national long jump title at the National Senior and Junior Championships (Trials) following a championship-best performance of 8.32 metres at the National Stadium today.

World Championships gold medallist in 2019, Tajay Gayle, had to settle for second place as he covered a distance of 8.27 metres. Carey McLeod rounded off the top three spots, cutting the sand at 8.20 metres.
