#TRIALS2023 | Tracey is the women’s 1500m national champion
Experienced middle-distance runner Adelle Tracey stormed down the final 100 metres to claim the national title in the women’s 1500 metres at the JAAA/PUMA National Senior and Junior Championships inside the National Stadium this evening.
Tracey was winning ahead of the only other senior in the race, combined with the juniors to make a more complete field, Aisha Praught-Leer.
Tracey, finished in a time of 4:19:23, while Praught-Leer managed to cross the line in 4:23:05.
Also in the same race, Edwin Allen’s Kevongaye Fowler won the under-18 title, clocking 5:04.28 to get the better of St Jago High’s Kededra Coombs, 5:11.54.
The only contender among the under-20 girls, Alphansus Davis’ Kishay Rowe, earned her title in 4:49.40.
