Junior Cup final on today at Constant Spring

THE 2022 Junior Cup football competition, organised by the Free Your Image (FYI) Consultancy group, will crown the all-island champions today with match time set for 2 p.m. Urban champions Emmanuel Christian Academy will oppose rural champions Corinaldi Primary at the Constant Spring Football Field.

Emmanuel Christian Academy were crowned winners of the urban leg of the competition following their 4-0 victory over rivals Rousseau Primary, to top off an impressive season which saw the Gregory Jones-coached team ending the tournament undefeated.

Rural champions Corinaldi Primary will be heading into today’s final with only one blemish to their record which was followed up by a 1-0 victory over Bethel Primary in the final.

Before today’s final Rousseau Primary will go up against Bethel Primary in the third- and fourth-place play-off set to kick off at 1 p.m.

The Youth Football League Junior Cup is a sponsored event by PUMA, iPrint Digital Jamaica, Insurance Company of the West Indies, Jamaica Independent Schools Association, The Gleaner, Insport, Sports Development Foundation, Funland Jamaica and FYI.
