CUMAX WEALTH Management Limited has thrown their support behind the development of local football by sponsoring Jamaica Premier League club Harbour View FC to the tune of $3.5 million.

Ian McNaughton, chief executive officer of Cumax Wealth Management Limited, said the money will go towards the club’s youth training and development programme.

McNaughton said Cumax was looking forward to working with Harbour View because there were a lot of good young players who would benefit from this sponsorship agreement.

“CUMAX is committed to the development of our future football stars. But not only that, we have a mandate to expand and develop the reach, discipline, education and financial awareness, by the saving and investment of our boys and girls, families, and community supporters,” said McNaughton.

“We have decided that starting at a youth level is the best way to start so that you develop up rather than trying to fix something that is already gone. Hence that is where we have decided to utilise the Harbour View youth football programme as part of our development for youth and for Jamaica,” he said.

The initial deal is for one year, with the option to renew for an additional two years after review.

Harbour View general manager Clyde Jureidini said his club was very grateful for the sponsorship and that they are looking forward to working with Cumax.

“We are very happy that Cumax has come on board to support our under-7, -11, -13, -15, and -17 Youth Training Programmes,” said Jureidini.

“This will help to expose our coaches to new horizons through local, regional, and international certifications, best practices of techniques, tactics and technology in training sessions in local and international youth competitions in 2022,” he said.
