Over the past three seasons, Colorado Murray has been Tivoli Gardens' most consistent goalscorer in the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL).

The former Excelsior High Manning Cupper has continued where he left off last season, netting six goals in 18 games so far. And though he had a better strike rate at this time last season, the 23-year-old believes he is in a much better place and is keen on winning the Golden Boot this term.

"My season has been good. I have been doing fairly well. But I need to score more goals because I am not satisfied with getting six goals in 16 games.

"Last year, I played 15 games and scored nine goals, but I was injured for much of the season. Now, I have played more than 15 games, but I think I am on a better path now. I am averaging a goal every other game, and that is good," he said.

"I have my eye on the Golden Boot, so I need to score more goals. I am not satisfied with being second or third. I need to come first this time," Murray added.

GOOD CHANCES

Murray had at least three good scoring chances in his team's game against UWI FC on Sunday but was unable to find the net.

"I am very disappointed with my game, but at the same time, I am happy for the three points. It [had] been a while since we scored two goals and get a win, so we have to be satisfied. My performance wasn't the best, in my estimation, based on my football ability and what I'm capable of," he said.

However, Murray remains confident that he can get the Golden Boot as Tivoli Gardens are a quality team capable of creating the chances for him to score despite their inconsistency.
