SAJ to host AI in Business, Shipping and Logistics workshop
The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) will host a virtual workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Business, Shipping and Logistics’ on Wednesday, August 16, beginning at 9 a.m.
The three-hour workshop will focus on the ‘Fundamentals and Application of Artificial Intelligence’ and will utilise cases of AI and live demonstrations to build overall awareness and understanding of how AI is leveraged in business, to anticipate AI-related trends and changes.
The three-hour workshop will be facilitated by Dr Allison Hudson, business consultant and assistant professor in the School of Global Business, Trade and Transportation at Miami Dade College in South Florida, USA.
Dr Hudson has over 15 years of experience in academia and practice, and teaches business, management, marketing and leadership courses in the global context.
Among the topics to be covered are the types of AI; industry 4.0; the use of AI in management strategy and business decision-making; the inclusion of AI in shipping, logistics and port operations; and the ethical implications of AI.
Upon completion of the course, registrants will receive a certificate of participation and additional resources related to artificial intelligence.
