The leadership and employees of The Jamaica National Group got together recently to celebrate the achievements of Earl Jarrett during an event held at Fort Charles in Port Royal, recently.

Jarrett, who was recently conferred with the Order of Jamaica, for his contribution to the development of the Jamaican financial sector and volunteerism, was toasted for his magnanimity and visionary leadership, which spans some 21 years at Jamaica National, 19 of which have been as the conglomerate's boss.

Over the duration of his leadership, Jamaica National grew exponentially in size, entering the realms of general and life insurance; small and micro business development, money services, investments, roadside assistance, creative services and other spheres, making it the third-largest financial institution in Jamaica.

The organisation underwent a pioneering transformation in the past year to become The Jamaica National Group, and to convert its former building society to a commercial bank, expanding its array of products, services and reach to Jamaicans.

During an evening, chaired by the effervescent educator, Dr RenÈe Rattray, director of education programmes at JN Foundation, superlatives flowed in tribute to Mr Jarrett and his two decades of leadership at the organisation's helm.

Among those celebrating Mr Jarrett, were members of the board of directors, including: chairman, Oliver Clarke and board members Dorothy Pine-McLarty, William Mahfood, as well as JN Bank managing director, Curtis Martin; JN General Insurance boss, Chris Hind; and employees across the spectrum of The Jamaica National Group.
