Everyday i'm Hustling - Vivica A Fox's Next Chapter
Actress Vivica A. Fox came to Jamaica for the launch and signing of her book, Every Day I'm Hustling.
The businesswoman-turned-author also took the opportunity to support the Lisa 'Neahlis' McIntosh-Aris-led charity Mission Neahlis and celebrate her birthday in the place, she says, is like a second home to her.
Coming full circle
Fox shared with Outlook that she never thought of herself as an author and had no intentions of writing a book. The idea was suggested by her publicist BJ Coleman. He acknowledged, Fox recounts, that her career was coming full circle and now at her age, having managed a resurgence, her story was one to share.
"I was like 'ugh, you are giving me another job'," said Fox, recalling her initial reaction to the suggestion
Coleman told Fox that as a woman in her 50s, not only does she know success, she also knows hardship - the hardship to gain and the hardship to maintain. That she was fully capable of motivating others with her story.
Fox took the challenge, writing a book that, as she puts it, is every bit of 'Vivica'.
The book is broken down into five parts and covers everything from, success and mistakes to relationships.
It shares Fox's personal journey through all stages of her life and is a call to action for readers to get up and join the hustle.
