WESTERN BUREAU:

As heavy rains pelted the tourism capital on the night of Friday, April 21, Montegonians showed that modern Jamaicans will not allow a downpour to derail plans to have fun.

The Sugar Mill Restaurant at Half Moon was the venue and a number of persons had booked the six-course meal with Michelin Star chef, Ken Frank, of La Toque in Napa Valley, and Caribbean Producers Jamaica's (CPJ) wine connoisseur Elliott Day representing the Jackson Family Wines vineyard.

CPJ promised a journey of not only 'unwining' with a few bottles of the best wines, but the selling point used to pull the group who turned out was the chance to experience and explore the rich, bold flavours unique to the renowned California-based chef.

Diners were taken on a culinary journey which lasted for all of three hours.

Complemented by great conversation and stimulating tÍte-‡-tÍte, this was a classy occasion that was worth every dollar spent.
