Island Child Style - Just too cute!
It was cuteness overload when fierce mini models hit the runway for Island Child Style - the first-ever children's fashion show of its kind in the region.
Courtesy of B3 Parenting Magazine, fashion enthusiasts, parents and well-wishers gathered on the Formal lawns of Devon House, St Andrew on Saturday, June 4, to witness the spectacle, with young models ranging from four to 14 years old rocking exclusive children's line from, not one, but 15 local and regional up and coming as well as established designers.
There were bursts of cheers as the children enchanted the crowd with their cuteness.
Among the designers were Solsai, and Knockabout Fun wear who dazzled with fun patterns and prints. Lee's Fifth Avenue mixed things up with casual and formal pieces in their presentation. All-white line - Coco Beans - incorporated nature with leaves and pops of vibrant colour.
And speaking of white, Anthony Reid showcased a suave all-white male collection, while and drenna Luna brought experience to the runway with high fashion sportswear. An adorable dog made a surprising appearance during her line.
B3 launched its own Bold T-shirt line, and had onlookers excited with swaggy caster boards.
Diva Designs by Raina jumped right into summer with beach and pool wear, while NeahLis, and Zaid stayed true to form, designing light, breezy and colourful wear.
Bahamian designer Ajya Rainwear featured high-fashion raincoats and Gabi Girl stood out for innovatively interweaving the bandanna print into their line. N'light'n went on a style 'safari' all the way to Africa with vibrant patterns and prints.
Julan with her Memories line, presented ready-to-wear fashion, and elegant ball gowns of varying shades and styles.
The event, which started close to 7:30 p.m. saw models walking the runway for more than two hours, but the mini models remained real troopers throughout.
At the end of the night, Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Cynthia Bailey, who partnered with the magazine on its initiative, announced the young model who was selected to spend a week at her agency - The Bailey Agency School of Fashion.
