Gabriel Agbo | Never again!

“ The LORD says, ‘I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts ... . Never again will my people be disgraced like this. Then you will know that I am here among my people Israel and that I alone am the LORD your God. My people will never again be disgraced like this.’” Joel 2:25-27.

Wow! This is one of those portions of the Bible that I call the “crazy verses”. I mean those passages that make me feel like bursting in the Spirit. The Word of God is truly alive, sharp, powerful, and dynamic. This is why anyone who genuinely encounters it finds it very difficult to let it go.

This message will also be declarative, like some of the previous ones you have read here. I mean, I will make pronouncements that can forever change your life. Yes, His Word is that powerful! Remember, it was through His Word that everything you see today was made.

God has come to restore to you all that you have lost. Yes, this is your time of restoration. What have you lost in the past? What has the enemy taken away from you? What did you lose because of disobedience, mistakes, or ignorance? As you go through this message, see those things being restored.

Just as there is a time for everything, there is also a time to lose and a time to recover. I know the situation may look hopeless, irredeemable, terminal, incurable, or closed, but you are about to encounter the God with whom all things are possible. Yes, all things! If He could raise a man who had been buried for four days, what then is beyond His power? Is your situation worse than that? Tell me.

Look again at the passage from the book of Joel. God is saying that He will restore what you have lost. It is always painful to lose something, especially something very dear to you. You may not fully understand what we are talking about unless you have experienced such a loss.

In fact, some people never completely recover after losing loved ones, jobs, business capital, property, positions, spouses, or children. I have seen many such cases. They begin to die emotionally, spiritually, and even physically soon after the loss. If you have found yourself in this situation, listen carefully: the Word of God has come to heal you completely and help you recover what you have lost.

I can already hear someone asking, “What about the dead? How do you recover that?” Listen, God can bring another person into your life who will help fill that void. They may come as a spouse, a child, or a friend. It is true. One way or another, He ensures that what you lose in one place can be restored in another. Most times, the joy of what comes later overshadows and eventually buries the pain of the past.

Now, I pray that you recover everything you have lost in the past, in the mighty name of Jesus. Never again shall you go through such an experience. Yes, He is restoring whatever you have lost. Joy is returning. Greater wealth, a better position, improved health, restored relationships, and renewed opportunities are coming your way now. You will recover the years and resources you have lost.

Never again shall you suffer such loss. We will continue next week.
