43 rounds of ammunition seized in St Andrew police operation

The St Andrew Central police are reporting the seizure of 43 rounds of ammunition during an operation conducted across several areas within the division.

The police say that between 3:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, a joint police-military intelligence-led operation was carried out, during which several premises were searched.

The operation resulted in the seizure of 43 rounds of ammunition.

The assortment included 37 9mm cartridges, three .45 cartridges, two 5.56 cartridges and one .38 cartridge.

Two persons were arrested in connection with the seizure; however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
