St Mary businessman killed in gun attack at his home in Boscobel

A man was gunned down at his home in Boscobel, St Mary early Monday morning.

He has been identified as 59-year-old businessman Garfield Singh, who operated Singh’s Tyre Sales, Service and Repair.

The police report that about 4:00 a.m., residents heard loud banging at the businessman’s home, followed by gunshots.

Moments later, gunmen were reportedly seen fleeing the premises, according to Anthony Wallace, commanding officer of the St Mary Police Division.

The police were alerted and, upon their arrival, Singh was found inside the house suffering from gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed and the body was later removed.

“At this time, the suspect or suspects remain unknown, and investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information that can assist with the investigation is asked to contact the Port Maria Criminal Investigation Branch at 876-994-4222, 876-333-9530, or Crime Stop at 311,” Wallace said.
