St Elizabeth farmer charged over alleged attack on teen girl

A 28-year-old farmer has been charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm following an alleged attack on a teenage girl in Abraham district, St Elizabeth, on Wednesday.

The St Elizabeth police allege the accused, Anthony 'Frisco' Harriott, was involved in an altercation with the teen about 9:30 p.m. in the rural community.

During the dispute, investigators report that Harriott used his hand to strike the complainant in the face, causing swelling and bruising.

The police further indicated that the girl fell to the ground during the incident and sustained additional injuries when her face was cut by a stone.

The matter was reported to law enforcement, prompting an investigation that led to Harriott’s arrest.

The St Elizabeth Police have again appealed to residents to seek peaceful ways to settle disagreements and to report violent incidents promptly.
