Decomposing body of farmer found in St Ann

The St Ann police have launched an investigation into the death of a 56-year-old farmer whose decomposing body was discovered in the parish on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Steadman Downer, from Hermitage district in St Ann.
Passers-by reportedly detected a foul odour in the area at about 4:50 p.m., and alerted the police.
Upon arrival, the police team found Downer’s partially decomposed body lying face down.
The scene was processed, and the body was removed pending a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.
