Truck driver shot dead in Newlands, Portmore

A 44-year-old truck driver was shot dead in Newlands, Portmore, on Sunday, the St Catherine South police say.
The deceased is suspected to be from Craighead, Golden District in Manchester.
Reports are that around 4:20 p.m., officers were alerted to a dirt track off Newlands Road, where they discovered Beckford’s body lying on its back in a pool of blood. It had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head
He was dressed in a black polo shirt, blue jeans and Clarks shoes.
Investigators say no motive has been established.
The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the incident.
