VM Building Society (VMBS) has relocated its New York Representative Office to 2700 Church Avenue, in the heart of Flatbush, Brooklyn.

This new, larger space, which is set to officially open on November 5, offers walk-in access for the first time and aims to bring VM closer to the heart of the community it serves.

This relocation, a change from the appointment-only model at the previous Cadman Plaza office, marks a significant milestone in VM’s diaspora growth strategy and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening ties with the Jamaican diaspora across North America, the company said.

Paul Elliott, CEO of VM Building Society, explained that the new location embodies both continuity and progress. “This expansion is about meeting our members where they are — and giving them the tools to save, invest, and prosper. We are proud to serve as a trusted bridge between the diaspora and opportunities in Jamaica.”

Elliott added that the relocation is also about empowering Jamaicans overseas to see investment back home as a pathway to wealth creation: “Whether through savings and investments, owning property, or starting a business, Jamaicans in the diaspora can build not just their personal legacy but also play a vital role in contributing to national development. This new office makes it easier than ever for them to take that step with confidence and receive the personal guidance they need.”

Church Avenue is one of the most vibrant cultural corridors in Brooklyn, home to many Jamaicans and Caribbean nationals. By situating the office in this community, the entity is reinforcing its role not just as a financial partner, but as part of the Jamaican story abroad.

Current and prospective members can visit the new office to open savings accounts and access mortgages, as well as connect with experts on the wider VM Group suite of products and services, including business and investment solutions and property.

To celebrate the opening, VMBS will host a week-long series of activities across New York City, including financial forums in Brooklyn and the Bronx on October 28 and October 30, respectively, a formal ribbon-cutting at the new Church Avenue office, a networking reception in partnership with the Consulate General of Jamaica in New York, and a millennial-focused investment forum featuring Jamaican-American content creator and entrepreneur Winthrope ‘Throp’ Wellington, on November 1.

VMBS has representative offices in New York, Florida and the United Kingdom. The New York Cadman Plaza office was opened in 2019.
