Transport Authority remembers Forrester for public transportation advocacy

The board, management and staff of the Transport Authority are expressing regret at the tragic death of councillor for the Petersfield Division in Westmoreland, Patrick Forrester, who was also the President of the Petersfield Taxi Association.

The Authority notes that Forrester was a long-standing president who served the association with passion and diligence.

It said Forrester will be remembered for his advocacy for the public transportation system in Jamaica up to the time of his death on Wednesday.

"The Authority offers sincere condolences to his family, loved ones and colleagues in the transportation fraternity during this difficult time" a media release from the entity said.

Forrester was killed in a crash in Westmoreland on Thursday afternoon.
