Dr Andrew Holness is to be sworn in next week Tuesday to begin his third straight term as prime minister, King's House has informed.

The disclosure came after a formal meeting between Holness and Governor General Sir Patrick Allen today, following the September 3 general election which was won by Holness' Jamaica Labour Party.

The swearing in will take place on the Ceremonial Lawn of King’s House, starting at 4 p.m.

This will be Holness' fourth time being sworn in as prime minister, having first taken the office in 2011, following the resignation of former prime minister Bruce Golding.

Holness again took the oath of office in 2016 and 2020, when his party won the general elections.
