St Ann brother and sister charged over stabbing of woman during confrontation
A St Ann brother and sister have been charged for stabbing a woman during a physical confrontation, which left her hospitalised.
Thirty-year-old Lionel Howell, otherwise called ‘Kemar,’ a labourer of Mammee Bay, and 33-year-old Jestice Howell, otherwise called ‘Jessica,’ self-employed of Steer Town, are charged with wounding with intent.
The incident happened in Mammee Bay on Monday, September 01.
Reports from the police are that about 6:00 p.m., Jestice and a woman had an argument, during which Lionel intervened.
During the argument, Lionel used a knife to stab the woman, according to the police.
The police say a tussle ensued, and both Jestice and Lionel allegedly used knives to inflict several stab wounds to the woman’s body.
The police were alerted, and the brother and sister were apprehended.
The woman was transported to hospital, where she was admitted in serious condition.
Jestice and Lionel were subsequently charged.
They are set to appear before the St Ann Parish Court on Thursday, November 06.
