SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES
In line with its commitment to environmental preservation through the C.B. Facey Foundation, Pan Jamaica Group’s efforts will focus on several impactful initiatives centred around Jamaica’s largest road race.
This included participation in the Sagicor Market on the Terrace event supporting local farmers through subsidiary and banana producer JP Farms, along with race day plans to maximise plastic waste collection, minimise food waste and promote proper waste disposal and other sustainable practices among participants, vendors, and stakeholders.
In the lead-up to race day, Sagicor and Pan Jamaica Group will also jointly promote messaging aimed at amplifying the event’s go-green goals and engaging the public in meaningful ways.
“The Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run has always been about more than just fitness and charity,” noted Christopher Zacca, CEO of Sagicor Group.
“By integrating sustainability into this year’s event, we aim to set an example for how large-scale events can have a lasting positive impact on the environment. Together with Pan Jamaica Group, we are taking meaningful steps toward a greener future,” he added.
