Sub-machine gun seized in Westmoreland, man arrested

The police in Westmoreland today seized a sub-machine gun and 11 rounds of ammunition in Retreat district in Little London.
A man was apprehended in relation to the seizure.
His identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
The police report that about 12: 30 p.m., a team from the Westmoreland Proactive Investigations Unit was on a snap operation in the area when a premise was searched.
They say a Kel Tec sub-machine gun and eleven .40 cartridges were found.
A man was taken into custody.
