Young mothers fêted by Digicel

In recognition of International Women's Day, telecommunications company Digicel visited the Missionaries of the Poor to honour, celebrate and motivate young mothers who choose to keep their babies.

The session was also attended by other teenagers who were not mothers, but shared similar challenges in one way or the other with the young mothers and mothers-to-be.

Motivational talks and words of encouragement were given to more than 20 women by female members of Digicel's executive body.

The session was very interactive and emotional, with the women sharing their respective stories and life struggles. However, as different as their stories were, they all had one thing in common - their determination to make a better life for themselves.
