The main street in the town of Lucea, is filled with rubble and roofless buildings, following the passage of Hurricane Gilbert.
Soliders have been called in daily to contain thoustands of people who Block Hanover Street in Kingston, while they try to get cards from the KSAC's Poor Relief Office To obtain food from the red Cross, following the passage of Hurricane Gilbert.
The Wesleyan Church in Morant Bay, St. Thomas, shows the wounds over the still sturdy skeleton of the roof, while the clock steeple, victorious against the storm look pensively on.
