Rihanna shows off baby bump ahead of Met Gala

Bajan popstar and entrepreneur Rihanna is expecting her third child. The singer was spotted ahead of the 2025 Met Gala, taking place in New York City today.
Images circulating online show Rihanna arriving at The Carlyle Hotel in the rain, gently holding her baby bump. She wore a ribbed grey knit set featuring a cropped sweater that hugged her midsection, paired with matching knee-high socks and grey pumps.
Rihanna shares two sons– two-year-old RZA and one-year-old Riot– with rapper A$AP Rocky.
This marks the third time the singer has chosen a major cultural moment to reveal a pregnancy. In 2022, she debuted her first baby bump during a casual outing in New York City. A year later, she announced her second pregnancy during her Super Bowl LVII halftime show performance.
“It feels amazing, you know,” Met Gala co-chair A$AP Rocky told reporters who congratulated him after outlets reported the couple was expecting their third child. “It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ‘cause we definitely happy, you know.”
TMZ reported earlier Monday that Rihanna and the rapper were expecting their third child. A representative for Rihanna didn’t immediately return The Associated Press’ request for comment. Photos taken of the singer Monday walking in New York showed her with what appeared to be a baby bump.
“Honestly, it’s a blessing nonetheless,” Rocky told the AP. “Because you know how like some people in other situations at times can be envious of other people. But we’ve been seeing love for the most part. And we real receptive to that and appreciate that, you know what I mean? That’s love. Love is love.”
