On Saturday, in Accompong Town, St Elizabeth, there was much to see, hear, buy and eat at the 286th anniversary celebrations of the 1738 signing of the treaty of peace and friendship between the Trelawny Town Maroons of St James and the British. There were ancestral feasting, singing, drumming, dancing, processions and spirit possessions. But, in all of it, it was the people - the producers, performers and patrons - who made the occasion super-memorable. Something Extra has the highlights.
