Shopping Made Simple with A Jamaica Made Christmas
The Grand Ballroom of The Jamaica Pegasus hotel was transformed into a shoppers haven last weekend, for A Jamaica Made Christmas.
It was a shoppers paradise, boasting everything from a pin to an anchor; for gifting or personal pleasure. There were beautiful artworks - from ceramics to paintings by artists such as: Amanda Mitchell, Andranique Ceramics, Cut Right Designs Ja and Krystal Ball Art just to name a few.
Now those who love accessories would have a hard time trying to figure out which booth to stop at because everything from jewellery to handbags and sandals were covered. There were: Be - U Bags and Accessories, Sabrina M Reynolds, 2 qute Collection, Ika’tan Collection, Aviola Accessories, E11even Collections and Kuchuments.
When it came to skin care, many would be amazed by how many local organic brands there were.
Walking through the over 60 booths could make you weary, but you could easily grab a smoothie or a cold or hot coffee at the Deaf Can booth. There were also other trade booths like the Alpha Boys home, Laws Street Trade Training, Mustard Seed Communities and the STEP Centre that had craft works on display.
And if you are looking for candles to set the tone or just creative potted plants and centrepieces, there was Laura Alexis Candles or Kabreco Designs, just to name a few. The sweet tooth was also filled with Ara Foods Jamaica and Le Macarons.
Guests came in empty-handed, but left with bags of goodies — a great start to their Christmas shopping -and all made locally. A Jamaica Made Christmas made Christmas shopping so simple.
