Denise Daley threat unbecoming of politicians
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Denise Daley should have learnt from the backlash of a somewhat similar statement made by Ruddy Spencer a month or so ago.
Using political platforms to vent grievances is inappropriate and sends the wrong signal to our youths. Many of whom look up to these persons for inspiration and motivation.
People who offer themselves for representational politics ought to be mindful that it is their fiduciary responsibility to serve all of their constituents, irrespective of political affiliation. They should be held to a higher standard and be called out when they fail to display decorum in public. Having said that, I didn't see where Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn called out Ruddy Spencer, in the way she did Denise Daley, when he made a similar statement. So the partisanship will always be with us.
