Giving Thanks for Praise: The Browns' Love Story
Once in a while, in the midst of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairytale. And Lenworth Brown is now eternally giving thanks for his lady love, Praise Thompson.
The ecstatic couple met in 2006, while working at the same company. The mutual friendship blossomed and soon they became an inseparable dynamic duo. The exclusivity was never truly defined between these love birds, but they always knew that something more was in store. Lenworth, being the man he is, decided to step up to the plate and make the first move.
"In 2014, while we were working on a project, I expressed how I felt about her, and that I wanted more than just friendship. I wanted a 'commitment'. As I held my breath for an answer - nothing. But while there was not a 'yes', there was not a 'no'. The mood of the moment suggested that it was all good. Within a couple of weeks, we were both convinced that we wanted a committed relationship," he explained to Flair.
While on vacation in Florida in 2014, he realised how much he missed Praise and that she is the "one". On his return, they discussed their feelings and future plans, which was later sealed with an engagement.
Wedding Day
On April 8, 2015, after nine years of friendship and romance, Lenworth Brown and Praise Thompson met this time around as lovers and were joined in holy matrimony at Sea Garden Resort in Montego Bay in the morning.
The outdoor wedding was beautifully set, with the sea breeze kissing the skin of their guests. Held under a marvellously decorated gazebo at the edge of the beach, the blue water of the Caribbean Sea was set as a picturesque backdrop, glistening with delight at such an amazing occasion.
Theme 'Meant to Bee', Lenworth and Praise chose to express the sweet sentiments of their relationship, by treating their guests with a token of four-ounce jars of honey. Close family members and friends gathered to bear witness and give support to the couple, as they exchanged personalised vows on their special day.
The fun-filled affair progressed from the ceremony to the reception, with their master of ceremonies keeping the audience entertained and the deejay provide sweet sounds for those swaying hips. Speaking of hips, the couple shared their very first dance as husband and wife to Time of My Life from the sound track of the movie Dirty Dancing, which was significantly choreographed just for two.
The newlyweds chose the same Sea Garden Resort for their honeymoon, and enjoyed several of the local tourist attractions on the north coast.
