Get ready to turn back time and step into a world of vibrant colours, bold prints, and unforgettable fashion on Sunday, September 28, as Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, in association with Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum and Kool 97FM, presents Big People Sundays Groovy Edition: ‘70s & ‘80s at its weekly Big People Sundays series.

The night promises a unique blend of nostalgia, ‘’70s and ‘80s style, and high-energy fun, as DJ Smurf is booked to spin timeless jams and retro hits all night long, treating patrons to a thrilling throwback experience.

Brian Chung, co-owner of Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, could hardy contain his excitement. “We are always trying to do something different here at Ribbiz. It’s more than just a throwback, it’s a celebration of timeless music, style, and energy!”

This groovy theme will bring the iconic style, music, and vibe of the ‘70s and ‘80s to life. Patrons are encouraged to embrace the bold and eclectic fashion trends of the era with a dress code featuring shoulder pads, oversize blazers, tracksuits and preppy looks, maxi dresses, bell-bottom jeans, tie-dye, vibrant patterns, and bright colours.

Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed guests, so patrons are encouraged to come out in their best ‘70s and ‘80s-inspired outfits.

“Whether you’re channelling your inner disco diva or rocking those bold ‘80s vibes, this is your chance to shine and claim the title of Best Dressed for the Night,” commented Chung. “Don’t miss out on what promises to be one of the most fun and fashionable nights of the year. Let’s take it back to the days of disco, pop, and funky grooves at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge.”

The Groovy Edition of Big People Sundays promises to be a night to remember, filled with fun, fashion, and fabulous music in the heart of Kingston’s nightlife.
