Treasure Beach FC head coach Kemar Ricketts has resigned with immediate effect, leaving the club during the 2026–2027 Legend Jamaica Premier League season.
Ricketts, who took charge of the club in 2025, reportedly submitted his resignation in a letter sent to the club via email, which was copied to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and the St Elizabeth Football Association.
In the letter, Ricketts cited financial difficulties as the primary reason for his departure.
He also expressed gratitude to the organisation for the opportunity and the trust placed in him, while wishing the club continued success in its future endeavours.
Ricketts' departure comes just days after Treasure Beach recorded its first victory of the season, defeating Racing United on Sunday after going seven matches without a win.
The St Elizabeth-based club currently occupies 13th place in the league standings, with five points.
Treasure Beach were previously relegated at the end of the 2023–2024 season after finishing 13th and bottom of the table.
However, Ricketts subsequently guided the club back into the top flight following its participation in the 2025 Jamaica Football Championships (Tier II) competition.
In their next fixture, Treasure Beach are scheduled to host Portmore United at 3:00 p.m. today at the Ferdi Neita Sports Complex.
Founded in 1993, Treasure Beach began its football journey in the Division Two league under the leadership of former chairman Jason Henzell.
