'Porridge Man' gunned down in Old Harbour

A porridge vendor was gunned down in Old Harbour, St Catherine, this morning.
The police report that about 9:30 a.m., the victim, affectionately known as 'Porridge Man', was at his usual location when explosions were heard.
It is further reported that he was later found suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police are yet to establish a motive for the killing.
The Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch is conducting investigations into the matter.
The killing has left residents of the Panton Lane community, where the deceased lived, in mourning.
