14-y-o boy and man arrested over seizure of imitation gun at party in St Thomas

A 20-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy are in police custody after being arrested in connection with the seizure of an imitation firearm at a party at a club in Trinityville, St Thomas on Monday.
The police report that information was received that a patron was seen with an illegal gun in his possession.
A team was sent to the location.
The police say cops entered the club, and the man was allegedly observed handing the weapon to the teen.
They were accosted, and the item was retrieved.
The minor fled the scene, while the adult was detained by the police.
Initial checks revealed that the weapon was a green and black imitation firearm.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a prohibited weapon.
The confiscated weapon was handed over to the Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch for further investigation.
The teen was later apprehended in York district in the parish.
