The police say a motorcyclist who was featured in a viral social media video performing motorcycle stunts and eluding the police during Sunday's carnival road march has been arrested.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Dante Patmore, also known as ‘One Almighty’, of Barbican Road, Kingston 6.
He was arrested by members of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) on Tuesday.
The police say he is to be charged with causing motor vehicle to be driven on one wheel, dangerous driving, no helmet and disobeying constable's command.
The police also revealed in a social media post that during processing, it was also discovered that Patmore was wanted on a previously issued warrant, for careless driving, no helmet, and unlicensed motor vehicle.
Senior Superintendent Lloyd Darby, Commanding Officer for PSTEB, is reminding all road users that safety must be paramount on the nation's streets.
"We are on the road to keep you safe. Play your part and observe the rules of the road," said Senior Superintendent Darby.
The police had advised ahead of Sunday's road marches that motorcycles, ATVs, and pedal cyclists would not be allowed to join the parade.
They said performing stunts or any other dangerous acts that could endanger the public was strictly forbidden.
