Security incident caused no disruption for passengers, says Sangster International operator

MBJ Airports Limited (MBJ) says there was no disruption to passenger operations or airport services following Friday morning's security incident in the vicinity of Sangster International Airport.
It said the matter involved an interaction between an individual and law enforcement.
"We wish to clarify that the incident did not occur at the passenger terminal, nor did it involve a breach of the Terminal Building," MBJ said.
It explained that the incident took place on the road leading to the cargo and fuel facility areas, which are geographically removed from the passenger terminal.
MBJ said it was cooperating fully with the law enforcement authorities that are investigating.
"The safety and security of our passengers, staff and all persons at Sangster International Airport remain our foremost priority," it added.
