Sections of March Pen Road in Spanish Town under curfew
Sections of March Pen Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine are under a curfew.
The curfew began at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 28, and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
North: From the intersection of Salt Island Road and the Spanish Town Bypass, at the stoplight to the intersection of White Church Street and Salt Pond Road, in the vicinity of the stoplight, travelling about 1.29 kilometres along the Spanish Town Bypass.
South: From the toll road, in the vicinity of the bridge at Salt Pond Road, travelling along the toll about 2.77 kilometres, to the end of the intersection between the toll road and Salt Island Road.
East: From the intersection of White Church Street and Salt Pond Road, in the vicinity of the stoplight, travelling along Salt Pond Road, about 1.23 kilometres to the toll road at the bridge.
West: From the end of the southern boundary at the intersection of Salt Island Road and toll road, travelling along Salt Island roadway, about 1.97 kilometres to the beginning of the northern boundary, at the intersection of Salt Island Road and the Spanish Town Bypass.
During the curfew, all persons are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
