This dream home demands your gaze. Its striking, mesmerising exterior evokes a rush of positive emotions.

So, what exactly is it about this home that causes such a stir? The answer, I daresay, lies in its dramatic, unconventional design, emphasised by unconventional sharp angles (acute and obtuse), challenging the existing and uninspiring ones out there.

Another explanation for the lingering admiration is that the entire lower level of the building, on its sloping terrain, is completely built from hand-cut, solid cutstone. In addition, the house has distinguishable, peaked, pyramid roofs.

While the outward form of the house grabs your undivided attention, it is the inside that steals your heart. The interior exudes comfort through professionally planned, relaxed spaces. A mostly white palette accented with splashes of colour, thoughtful lighting, informal furnishings, and striking decorative details all enhance the relaxed ambience.

With an address in Sandy Bay, Hanover, 19 minutes from Montego Bay, the split-level home is sited at the summit of Copperwood Ridge, overlooking the resplendent Caribbean Sea and the championship golf course below, by the seventh green fairway.

At the centre lies a rare hexagon-shaped living room, opening onto a scenic balcony beneath a matching exposed-rafter ceiling. The dining room leads to an island kitchen, exposing granite counters and wood shaker-style cabinets. Downstairs features a wet bar recessed into the stone wall and a covered terrace overlooking the swimming pool.

The three bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, occupy the same floor as the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The principal bedroom opens widely onto the balcony and boasts a brass-fitted bathroom with its own whirlpool spa tub. It also flaunts an out-of-the-ordinary walk-in wet room with a freestanding tub and a rain shower, behind a brass-framed glass door and panel.

The private, guarded, luxury villa haven on 2,200 acres offers a private beach, tennis courts, and a gym.

As English Romantic Poet John Keats once wrote, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever”. This home epitomises that truth.
